Changes in top management, re-organizations in the daughter companies, various cost reduction programs and growth with key customers are all drivers behind a great development for IV Group the last 12 months.
CEO Magnus Emeus, who re-entered the company in October, last year, explains:
“The development is much better than expected when we launched several improvement activities during Q4 last year. We immediately saw great potentials in cost savings but needed new managers and a new management style to be able to implement these cost cutting programs.”
With the new management in place IV Group have, through a number of systematic improvement tools, increased productivity in all units and therefore created a good foundation for a future positive development.
Magnus Emeus continues:
“The continuous improvement process starts by identifying demands from customers, the board and the owners. Based on these demands we are creating several strategic plans for the Group and each individual company. Via a detailed Policy deployment program, these plans are then broken down into targets & activities for each department in each company. This makes sure we measure and implement the selected KPI:s and securing we improve continuously and reach our long term objectives.”
In parallel to the overall lower cost base implemented, the Chinese unit IV Techmould have achieved growth in running business, which have given the improvement journey an extra kick.
"The last 12 months have been very busy and successful where several actions have been carried out in order to both lower our costs but also being able to manage the growth several of our customers have had" says Fredrik Carlsson who moved to Suzhou outside of Shanghai in December last year to take on the position as Managing Director at IV Techmould
"On top of several improvement actions implemented we have also invested in a new improved paint line which are operating from July this year. The new line means higher capacity, better quality, lower costs & broader technical capabilities compared to previous painting line which means our competitiveness in the market is much improved" says Fredrik Carlsson”
New Sales Director
Following a successful 2016 with several cost cutting programs as well as new investments, IV Group is now better suited and equipped to grow with our valuable current customers plus a number of new potential customers we currently are in a dialogue with. To further strengthen our ability to grow & serve our customers IV Group just recently added a new Sales Director, Håkan Olsson, who will be based in Scandinavia and support new sales both in Norway and in China.

I have some 25 years of experience within the injection moulding industry and that is of course a great asset when trying to help IV Group continue the very good development taking place during 2016, Håkan Olsson rounds off.
